Hello to everyone,

I just installed AMPL IDE on my Mac and tried to run some models and I realized that when I press the up button (up arrow on the keyboard) nothing happens. Before, when you pressed the button, the commands you typed before appeared, but it doesn't work now.

Could you help me with this problem please, how ca I access to command history?

AMPL IDE  Version: 3.6.4.202012062207

Thanks,

An update with a fix for the issue is available at
https://ampl.com/dl/nfbvs/candidate/amplide-3.6.5/
Download and extract the file to the same folder where you have the AMPL executable and solvers.

For macOS users: you will need to confirm to macOS that your AMPL software is safe to run. Follow these steps:
  • In your AMPL folder, control-click the ampl.command icon, and select Open in the menu that pops up.
  • If a box containing a warning message (“macOS cannot verify the developer . . .”) pops up, click Open in that box.
  • A Terminal window labeled ampl.command will appear. After a few seconds, you will see ampl: in the last line in the window. You can then terminate the window, by clicking the red button at the upper left. (If a box containing a warning message Do you want to terminate running processes in this window? pops up, click Terminate in that box.)
Hope this helps!
Best regards,

Thanks for answering. I have an academic license for large models. Would the procedure you described remove my license?

The IDE uses the ampl.lic licence file you already have in your AMPL folder. Updating the IDE will not remove/replace your current licence.
