Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is a stupid question but I have looked around the gui and also checked the filesystem, but I cant seem to find the playlists m3u file that ampache creates.

Reason I'd like to find it is because my Smart TV supports DLNA and I would like to export the m3u file from ampache so that the TV can use the m3u file. This will stop my 2 year old son from unplugging my phone that I run ampdroid on.

Any idea how I can export the playlist m3u file from ampache please?

Thanks in advance.

When play mode is on 'Stream', it generates m3u files on the fly. Those are not stored on the server filesystem of course because it always change and depends of users. Would not it be better to define your playlist on your DLNA directly (using UPnP backend for instance https://github.com/ampache/ampache/wiki/API#upnp--dlna-api)?

Hi Afterster,

Thanks for the suggestion and yes that would prob work but I already have DLNA service running that scans and finds the media (Pictures, Video and Audio). I will look into this further.

Additionally, as I only use Ampache for home use, there is only 1 user shared in the household so exporting m3u (FOR ME) would be useful ... but I can see that if the demand is not there from the public, you wont code this feature.

If you think its simple and can implement easily, I would appreciate m3u export as Ampache is VERY easy at creating playlists and being able to export to other applications, computers etc would be helpful (for me).

Thanks for the hard work so far, the software is excellent and a big improvement on the last version I used.

Regards,
Frank
