Congratulations again for being accepted into the AMP Program! Please read this email carefully and complete the listed tasks to ensure you’ll have a successful AMP experience:
Welcome AMP Students survey - Fill out the "Welcome AMP Students" survey on or before December 27, 2022, with this link https://forms.gle/VShHQ1AVRoDQQbeN8. We will use the information collected to coordinate clinical shadowing, MCW-CW medical student mentor matches, and more!
AMP Program Manual - We will review the AMP Program Manual during orientation in January. The manual details the program expectations as well as additional resources & support available for AMP participants.
AMP Advisory Committee members - While in the program you will interact with the following AMP advisory committee members and/or the following members will be referenced. I’m sharing this information so you can keep an eye out for email communications from them and/or reach out to them as a resource and support. Their contact info will be available in the AMP program manual.

In-Person Improv Session on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, from 11-3 PM - We substituted the Wed, February 8, 2023, virtual advising session for an in-person session on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, from 11-3 PM. Please join us at the MCW-Central Wisconsin campus for a tour, meet & greet & lunch with MCW-CW medical student mentors, and an Improv activity. If you aren’t able to join us, please let me know asap.

"Wicked Problems" enrollment process - I will send a separate email with sign-up instructions because it’s a complex process.
WI AHEC Community Health Internship Program (CHIP) - As an AMP student, you are automatically accepted into CHIP (North Central region) which means you do NOT have to do anything until Nicole Thill or I give you directions. You’re welcome to preview the program and the application on the CHIP website, but please refrain from submitting an application. More directions will be shared during Orientation 1 in January.
Photo - Please send in a photo of yourself to be used for presentations with internal and external partners. I recommend a headshot of you wearing a office appropriate top with a neutral background.
The Princeton Review - North Central AHEC students can enroll in an MCAT prep course through the Princeton Review at a discounted rate. Please reach out to Nicole Thill to learn about the available resources. (see flier for more details)
WI AHEC Community Health Immersion – This is a statewide program that allows undergraduate and graduate health profession students to have the unique opportunity to connect with the diverse communities and cultures of Wisconsin, exploring health care delivery and public health in medically underserved areas. The length of the immersion ranges from a few days to a week long. (Next application opens Feb 2023. Visit the website for more info)
