Good afternoon AMP students,
It was great to meet every one of you during the AMP Orientation 1 on Wednesday night. I'm so excited to continue to meet you weekly and get to know you for the rest of the semester.
Going forward, I'm going to try my best to send advising session summaries so that if you missed a session you can catch up. I'll also use this email to start a chain of AMP advising session summaries so important info doesn't get lost in the shuffle.
Orientation 1:
- You can view the advising session agenda (and future advising sessions) by visiting the link below. For the orientation 1 session, it's important that you review the materials under the "AMP housekeeping" and "follow-up" sections. I've attached the AMP presentation and the AMP program manual to this email for your convenience. I've already sent out reminders to students who haven't submitted their media release forms and photos. Please send these in asap.

- You will also need to complete the 15 core competencies of an entering medical student pre-program survey by next Friday, 1/13. Our goal is to compare your pre and post-program results and understand the impact of the program on your growth. You can take the survey at https://uwmadison.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6Ao9S9APuM6wFG6
- Just a reminder that our first in-person meeting will be on February 11th at the MCW-CW campus from 11-4 PM. If you have a schedule conflict, please let me know ASAP. It'll be a fun-filled day with a group activity in the morning, lunch with your med student mentor, and an improvisation session in the afternoon. The dress code will be business casual (nice office tops and dress pants). We'll provide all of the needed materials. If you're a person that travels with pens, papers, a laptop, etc. feel free to bring them. We're working on the final details and will share the schedule after it's finalized.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Have a great rest of your day and weekend!
Best regards,
Sheng
