Friends

Just released Amora 1.0. All the files are available there, as also
wiki articles explaining how to install.

Between the new features:

*Server*

- Server support for multiple cellphones (tested with up to 3
cellphones)

- CLI arguments

- Debian package

- Inclusion in Mandriva Cooker repositories

- RPM spec file (should make easier to package for other RPM based
distributions)

- man page

*Client*

- added a stopwatch (useful to control time in presentations)

- improved configuration screen: screenshot
timeout, mouse cursor moving delta, screenshot rotation

- automatically displays keymap layout in start to control the
desktop

- support for continuous keypressing (left and right arrow keys)

- SIS packaging for Nokia S60 3ed.

Best regards

Installed Amora 1.0 Debian Package on Kubuntu 7.10 and amora_debs.sis
on Nokia N91.

From Python shell Bluetooth connection works. However, amora does not
even start. Screen goes white for a glimpse, that's all. The same with
and without running amora server.

Best regards

Dear Panos

Thanks a lot for the report. I'm glad that the Debian package worked
fine... but it really is strange that the SIS file didn't worked. I
had tested it with the following devices: Nokia E61, N95, N5500, N93.

I will suggest you to uninstall the package, and install the Python
suitable for your cellphone device *first* and then with python
already installed, try amora-1.0.sis (http://amora.googlecode.com/
files/amora-1.0.sis)

In worst case, you can try to execute Amora client from Python Shell
and use the source package, you can find more information at:
http://code.google.com/p/amora/wiki/how_to_hacker

Best regards

Another friend confirmed that in a N73 the SIS file doesn't work. For
while, I already updated the project page to recommend only the source
package for client installing.

Now I need to discover where the bug is and fix it ASAP.

Best regards

Thanks for quick response, Adenilson

I already tried out the plain amora.sis (installed python from sf)
with the same result. Will try the hacker workaround you mentioned
earlier.

Best regards

Good news: I just discovered where is the bug.

The problem happens if you install the Amora client in one drive (say,
C drive) and have
PyS60 installed in another drive (e.g. E drive).

I had just created a new SIS file and will upload it.

Concerning the URL to install from sources, it had changed:
http://code.google.com/p/amora/wiki/how_to_install_source

Best regards

New SIS file uploaded, installing instructions revised, I think this
solves the whole issue.

Hi,

I noticed there was no 64-bit deb for Ubuntu. I will try to build it,
can you provide the source deb which was used for the 32-bit deb?

Thanks!
