Another friend has sent a remark concerning this project. I downloaded
the project
but was not able to execute the client (it installed fine in one Nokia
N93, but doesn't
start!).

I will try it harder later... maybe we can contact the authors of
Bluepad and ask them
for a joint work (I'm interested in the java client and gnome panel
applet).

Best regards

Well, they indeed declare on the site that there are problems specifically on
Nokia S60 models. Maybe you could try it on some of the tested list[1].

There is a need for a Nokia S60 in order to fix the bug[2], this can be seen as
an oportunity.

I'm writing to present congratulations for your project
(Bluepad). Judging by the screenshots and the video, it seems to be a
really nice app.

Unfortunetelly, I was not able to execute it in both my Nokia N93 (S60
3ed)
and other Nokia E61.

I checked in the project's website, it seems that your client doesn't
run in any S60 3ed. Maybe we can work together trying to track where
is the bug and make it work?

As a matter of fact, I'm working in a project that has several common
points with Bluepad. Its named Amora (A mobile remote assistant),
having two parts:

a) Client: written in PyS60

b) Server: coded in ANSI C

You can check more details of Amora at:
http://code.google.com/p/amora

I decided to start it back in May/June due to the sad fact that those
'remote controllers' are in a state far from functional (at least for
Linux
platform). I had tested several of the alternatives available at that
time and decided to create my own. If you guys had released your
software some months earlier, I probably would not had started Amora
to scratch my itch...

Anyway, I think that as OSS/Freesoftware developers we can share some
experiences and benefit from each others work.

Best regards
