This is a great opportunity to learn more about the importance of human rights and about Amnesty’s work, including our work with Indigenous communities and people seeking asylum to fight discrimination, unfair detention and to demand safety and a fair justice system for all.
There will be several special guest speakers including former Chair of the National Board Gabe Kavanagh; Townsville group convenor and QLD/NNSW ALC President Peter Hanley and Rodney Dillon Tasmanian Aboriginal man and the Indigenous Rights Advisor with Amnesty International. There will be interactive discussions and videos, questions and answers, and the opportunity to meet like-minded people and get to know more about Amnesty.
