Now that it's second semester, I really want us to go hardcore with Amnesty. We should have a general outline of what we plan on doing for the rest of the year. Below I tried to make a very rough calendar-type outline of what the rest of the year will look like. As you can see, it's VERY VERY incomplete right now -- so please reply to this email with changes or comments or things you'd like to see!
1) The responsibility of food should be rotated weekly. If we know we can't bring food on one day, we should arrange to switch our food day with someone else just for that week! (As of now, I put the food responsibilities in order of board member)
2) For second semester, I think we should experiment with quick topics that last for a week, rather than stretching out a single topic for a month perhaps. This might keep members more interested, and it'll be interesting to change it up to see how it goes! :) If this doesn't go well, then no worries and we can go back to what we usually do!
3) I want the members to get more involved with meetings! Usually our meetings consist of us talking and talking -- but we never hear the members. I tried to brainstorm a few ways to change this below (ex. debates, open discussions), but I need help from you all!
4) Alhamdullilah the Hunger Banquet went great, and I found another cool thing we could do called Snacktivism! (Read below for what it is)
5) Is HennaFest ever going to happen? Or the Faculty Fashion Show Fundraiser?
