Dear Elisa,

Thank you for participating in AIUSA’s Spring Lobby Weeks!  Amnesty International activists across the country will ask their elected officials to stand up to Trump’s latest attempt at an illegal Muslim Ban. We need Congress to act!

Your representatives and senators will be in their district offices April 10-April 21, making this a good time to meet locally with them. Coordinating a visit to your elected officials is easy. But if those dates don’t work for you, you may schedule a meeting with the district office (in your state) any time this spring.

Find out more about scheduling meetings, along with lobbying tips and issue guidance in our Lobby Weeks Resource Package.

Before you go:

Join our Phone Briefing to learn about the issue and asks in advance of your meeting.
Tuesday, April 4th at 8:30pm Eastern.
Dial:
+1 408 638 0968 (US Toll) or +1 646 558 8656 (US Toll)
Meeting ID: 586 826 220

Then, join our Lobbying 101 Webinar for useful tips on lobbying.
Wednesday, April 5th at 8:30pm Eastern.
Join from PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android:
https://zoom.us/j/543704582
Or Telephone:
           Dial: +1 408 638 0968 (US Toll) or +1 646 558 8656 (US Toll)
           Meeting ID: 543 704 582
*Plan to log-in at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the webinar to test your connection.

This initiative will be a great opportunity to connect with your legislators and to build your group’s capacity to advance human rights advocacy.  Your efforts are critical to recruiting the help of Members of Congress in achieving human rights victories!

With warm regards,
