Indigo Girls are coming your way - dates, cities, venues below
They are great supporters of human and civil rights and of our having info / action tables during the course of her tours.
They are great re-tweeting our tweets about us being there and thanking them.
RN'R can have 2 volunteers
Volunteers arrive ~ 1 hour before doors open to the public to set up the table (table is provided by the venue)
That staff the table and collect signatures on actions
Volunteers are required to do simple follow up and follow through after the concert.
I need full names, email address, and phone # of each volunteer in order to sign them up,
Transportation and parking are on you own.
If you can volunteer, send me (Angie) and email (or simply "Reply" to this one), with:
the date, city, artists name, Your full name and email address at which you can be reached.
More details will go to the volunteers about 10 days before their concert dates, along w/ common actions we all use on the tour to have a stronger voice. There will be room to add an action of your own.
If you are not available, please forward this on to other responsible and reliable persons you know who may be able to help.
HOW:
RN'R teams with artists, managers, film-makers, promoters, venues during public and performance events (like concerts). We activate a global network of local activists and fans to impact change for a healthy planet and civil, human, & workers' rights issues. Using concert events, RN'R promotes awareness, education and action.
WHAT:
RN'R cultivates community outreach by local volunteers and activists, to galvanize, energize, engage, and encourage event patrons to stand up and take action. RN'R features actions for a healthy planet and on civil, human, & workers' rights issues. RN'R features actions performers support, and unites performers, artists, and film-makers to a global network of local activists and fans to impact change. Rock with Rhythm N' Rights.
CASE UPDATES; DOES THIS WORK:
YES having petitions at concerts really works.
1999 to the end of 2014, over 5100 concerts covered and over 655,000 signatures collected!
