In version 16, I was able to unlink the audio from the video track by pressing U. I did this primarily for audio tracks that got out of sync with the video. I could select the audio track and slip it until sync was restored. In version 19, that no longer applies. The audio track stays connected to the video track.

Assuming it is not a bug and other folks do not experience the same behavior, you might try uninstall / reinstall again, but uninstall using a third-party uninstaller like 'Revo Uninstall' that can also remove left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the default Windows uninstall leaves behind, which in usually the root of recurring issues.
Revo Uninstall has both pro, freeware and portable versions. The freeware version is usually adequate. The pro version has additional tools like 'advanced scan' and 'forced uninstall', which you probably will not need.

Marco has a point if auto ripple is on then the still end up moving together - definitely confusing. Just to be on the safe side. select both video and audio , right click then > group > remove from U should do the same though

A. Delete the audio track (which removes the audio from the timeline and not the video), add a new empty audio track, add the same media again, add a new empty video track, place the video part of the video/audio media (not the one with the video alone) in that new empty video track, then delete the added video track to remove the video (leaving only its audio).

B. Delete the video track (which removes the video from the timeline and not the audio), add a new empty video track, add the same media again, add a new empty audio track, place the audio part of the video/audio media (not the one with the audio alone) in that new empty audio track, then delete the added audio track to remove the audio (leaving only its video).

OK, so you don't need those tips any more. Anyway, read Method 3 in the msz link. It might come in handy sometimes. And note that you don't have to be guessing about the Suite either as it includes the same Platinum.

Almost everyone wants to extract audio from a video for commercial use. In the past, there wasn't a concept to convert your video into an audio file. But since the world is changing rapidly, new inventions were always on the cards.

Sony Vegas is a brilliant tool that offers the best possible features for its users to explore with. You can create videos, edit videos, crop and trim videos, and, more importantly, can easily extract an audio file from a video.

Its Picture in Picture feature is one of the best features you'll ever find in any video editing tool. This feature is introduced by OFX plug-ins that help users edit inserted photos on Vegas Pro Preview Windows.

Now it's time to separate audio and video files. After selecting either an audio track or a video track, you'll need to hit the letter '' U'' on your keyword. This process will allow you to move the clips freely.

You'll find this online extract user-friendly. You'd always look for a tool that offers you the facility to extract audio from a video quickly; luckily, Audio Extractor is the kind of tool you'd only dream of.

If you're busy and want to extract multiple audio files from videos, Audio Extractor can do this. You only need to import a video file one after another, and you'll be able to extract multiple audio files simultaneously.

If you want to acquire the whole audio, you need to click on '' Extracted Selected'', and if you want, otherwise, you need to choose Delete Selected option. After doing it, you need to select a format.

The 2nd method is great for very quick edits. Simply press the button shown in the screen shot to un-group the video from audio. Please make sure you turn this off once finished, otherwise you can end up in a really big mess.

There is a way to avoid this situation completely. Instead of using a Left Mouse click and dragging your files onto the timeline, use a Right Mouse click instead. When you let go of the mouse button, a menu will appear with different options. Select Add Video Only - Add Video Across Time. This will import the Video component only.

I am used to editing on Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12 where when one imports a video clip into the time line it automatically creates separate video and audio timelines that are linked together as one allowing one to move the audio and video in sync on the timeline. This allowed me to easily insert key frames for adjusting the audio levels for the main video/audio timeline when doing voice overs and background music.. I am currently using Magix Movie Studio Platinum 2023 version 22.0.3.172. and am using the timeline mode as it is the closest to MS Platinum 12. My computer has Windows 10 installed.

I was able to change an individual combined object to have the sound on a separate timeline, but it said to right click to see waveform. That only brought up the context menu with no wave form. Am I doing something wrong?

In the Program Settings, Video/Audio tab, you can uncheck the parameter "Video/Audio on one track" to get Video and Audio on separate tracks. Also, under Import, check "Automatically create waveform during import."

On the timeline, if you already have a video with audio not on a separate track, select it, shortcut Ctrl+H and the audio will be placed on a separate track. For more than one, select all that you and apply Ctrl+H and the audio for all selected objects will be placed on another track.

The current version of Magix Movie Studio is a rebranded version of Movie Edit Pro and not an update of the Vegas Movie Studio which was discontinued by Vegas developers. Video Pro X is the expanded version of Magix Movie Studio. Magix Movie Studio was also known in some countries Magix Video Deluxe.

Going by similar instructions for other games, you want to install the game for the language you want the Audio to be voiced in (i.e. English in your case). (This is to preserve any filename differences that might get confused if you try to just copy audio files.) But first, assuming you have installed the game for your native language, find the "Fallout_default.INI" file: "[General]" section, "sLanguage=" entry, and note the exact language name used. (Not sure if that is the same name as Steam used when you select the "language" version of the game, but that entry is the easiest and intended method of changing subtitles.)

Edit: See also 'Issue: Regional Non-English language version of the game displaying English dialogue' in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article before downloading the English version. You will also want to copy the "_lang.nam" files beforehand.

The official Steam instructions for installing a different language version are here. Then in the three INI files (see the 'Game INI files' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article), find the "[General]" section entry "sLanguage=ENGLISH" and change the value to that of your desired subtitle language.

OK. I think I figured it out. I copied all the italian .esm and .nam files from the "Data" folder of the italian installation in the english one replacing the respectives .esm and .nam english files. Then I edited the three .ini files replacing "ENGLISH" with "ITALIAN" in "sLanguage=ENGLISH".

I'm a little surprised that you needed to copy ESM files. (I would have thought of the BSA files as a possibility.) Did you determine that was necessary, or did you just decide to do it as a precaution? Was that all the vanilla and DLC ESM files, or only certain ones?

Thank you. That is an important detail. Added as 'Issue: Regional Non-English language version of the game with different language audio?' in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article.

Vegas Pro is a professional video editing tool with an interface that looks full of technology. It was developed by Sony and is now updated by Magix. It is widely used in the fields of video production, movie post-production, broadcasting multimedia production, etc.

Step 1. Upload the video file to Vegas Pro by clicking the "Import media" button on the left panel. Then, drag the video file to the editing panel. A window will pop out to ask you if you want to set the settings to match the media. You can directly press "No" to skip this process.

Step 2. Press the "U" on your keyboard. It is the default hotkey for audio and video separation. Now, you can freely drag the video or the audio on Vegas' panel. Quite easy, right?

If Sony Vegas is too professional to operate for you, another method you can try is to use an online audio separation website like EaseUS Online Vocal Remover. This website can help you separate vocal and instrumental sounds from your video with easier steps. You can upload the MP4 file and get three audio tracks, including the original audio track, an audio track with voice only, and an audio track with instruments only.
