Lula is a town of less than two thousand, located in the foot hills of
the Blue Ridge Mountains in northeast Georgia. It represents thousands
of small towns and communities around the country where the people
understand the true meaning of patriotism.
I was privileged to place a brick at the memorial honoring my
Revolutionary War Grandfather, Joshua Ammons. He as you will see in
the photos was entered under the first US Army in 1775.
Across the street is another small park dedicated to Captain Truelove
who was one of the famed Doolittle raiders that bombed Japan in WWll.
