15th International Symposium of Variants in the Genome
isv23: Focus on Variant Interpretation
14 - 15 July 2023
Melbourne, Australia
(a satellite of the International Congress of Genetics)
https://isv.variome.org
We are excited to welcome you back in-person to the 15th International Symposium of Variants in the Genome with a Focus on Variant Interpretation. This symposium is a special edition of the biennial conference that combines parts of our Variant Effect Prediction Training Course. The symposium is scheduled to take place from the 14th to the 15th of July 2023 in Melbourne, Australia as a satellite event to the International Congress of Genetics that will be held 16th - 21st July.
With technology setting the pace, understanding how variants effect the health of an individual has become crucial and is quickly changing the way genomic data is interpreted. This symposium will also give special emphasis to the capabilities and methods for functional testing and classification of genomic variants related to disease.
Invited leading scientists from around the world will present their research in plenary sessions. The meeting will also include interactive workshops on topics related to clinical interpretation of variants, data collection and variation nomenclature; where you can practice your skills with instructional leaders and scientific professionals.
We therefore invite you to register and attend to learn and participate at this dynamic meeting.
Please register your interest in attending on the website to be kept in the loop regarding registration opening!
We look forward to welcoming you all in 2023!

7th Variant Effect Prediction Training Course
VEPTC23
2 - 4 October 2023
Barcelona, Spain
https:/veptc.variome.org
We are excited to announce registration is now open for the 7th Variant Effect Prediction Training Course! The course will take place in Barcelona, Spain from the 2nd to the 4th of October 2023 with the assistance of Centro Nacional de Analysis Genómico (CNAG).
Analysis and interpretation of variations and their effects have been aided by various computational tools however end users often do not know which method or tools to choose, and how to use these tools to their fullest potential. This course is specifically designed for people working in the lab plus biologists/clinicians/counsellors who interpret variants. You can find out more details on the website!
We look forward to welcoming you in 2023!

Porto, Portugal
https://isv.variome.org
We are excited to welcome you back in-person to the 16th International Symposium of Variants in the Genome. This biennial conference (previously known as the Mutation Detection meeting series) focuses on cutting-edge developments for scanning, sequencing, databasing, and bioinformatics analysis of variants in DNA, RNA, and protein. With technology setting the pace, understanding how variants effect the health of an individual has become crucial and is quickly changing the way genomic data is interpreted. This symposium will also give special emphasis to the capabilities and methods for functional testing and classification of genomic variants related to disease.
Invited leading scientists from around the world and speakers invited from submitted abstracts after peer review will present their research in plenary sessions. The meeting will also include interactive workshops on topics related to clinical interpretation of variants, data collection and variation nomenclature; where you can practice your skills with instructional leaders and scientific professionals. isv24 provides an excellent platform, motivating participants to share knowledge and network with international experts in all areas of human genetics.
We therefore invite you to submit your abstracts as soon as possible, and encourage you to travel to the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city of Porto, Portugal to learn and participate at this dynamic meeting.
