Mentor and Training for placement in IT corporate world

Objective: Mentor, guide and training to final year MCA (including
fresh IT engineers) so as to help them in getting their first job.
This will help in quick and better placement of these fresh IT
engineers.

Target audience: Final year MCA students (including fresh IT engineers/
MCA)

Current challenge: There is a gap in what is theoretically covered in
colleges and what is expected by IT corporates. Moreover, Corporates
focus on other attributes like personality, confidence, communication
skills, analytical skills etc. There are some newer career avenues
e.g. software testing etc. regarding which students do not have
complete knowledge.

Course outline to bridge this gap:
• Soft Skills
• Aptitude
• Technology (Not in detail, only guidance)

Course duration:
• 4 half day sessions on weekend (spanning over a month)
• Mentoring and support for 2 months

Faculty Background:
The faculty member for this course is highly experienced resource from
the IT corporate world. He has more than 20 years of experience in
the IT industry. He has done B.Tech, MBA and also PMP certification
from PMI, US. During his 20 + years of service he has worked with
well know MNC clients like Standard Chartered, HP, Deutsche Bank
etc. He has lead and mentored big size teams. He has been to
several campuses for recruitment of fresher’s.
