After selecting my activities (5) it took six "Retries" for the app to recognize the shoe clip (which I was holding the phone; wearing the shoe clip; wearing the wristband sitting on the floor ready to begin sit ups (see Screenshot_2015-01-12-12-29-53.png below). This is very annoying as it happens every workout. All devices are fully charged (at least the app says they are...)

My workout this afternoon was captured almost entirely incorrect regarding accurate repetition count and mis-identified activities. One activity it said I could not use (see Screenshot_2015-01-12-12-29-25.png). Steps were not counted at all during the 23 minute workout. Lastly, it added an extra set that I never performed at all.

Last week I ran the same workout and got similar results. Only last week it didn't mis-identify Shoulder Presses with Bench Presses.

Found a bug with the software where you can not add RESISTANCE that is 3 digits e.g. 100. Type in 100 say Ok and it places 48 in the data field.

It clearly can not track your workout accurately and has bugs.

Tested using cellular network only (no WiFi) during my workout yesterday. Big mistake...

Here's how it went down:
  1. I selected my trained activities (7)
  2. I selected to start my Workout.
  3. Received an error (see Unable to start workout.png) This error screen came up multiple times before it took and happens on a regular basis.
  4. Once it started I immediately received this error message: "We were unable to connect the following devices: Shoe clip..." (See screenshot: Unable to Conn ShoeClip.png). After 3-4 attempts (this happens even with WiFi connection) The workout started. After five (5) minutes of dicking around with getting everything to "work" I was able to start my workout (see screenshots: Workout Find Devices.pngWorkout Connect.png)
  5. After 5 full minutes of waiting; connecting - I was able to start my workout! (See screenshot: Workout Screen.png)
  6. 48 minutes later - After pressing END WORKOUT I received "Unable to connect the following devices: Wristband..." (See screenshot Unable To Connect Device Arm.png) Hit Retry 3-4 times before it started to end my workout (wristband was at full charge).
  7. Once it finally recognized the wristband (was the wristband working/connected mid-workout? at all after starting?) it started the long process of UPLOADING/Analyzing etc. (See screenshot: Screenshot_2015-01-13-16-32-33.png & Screenshot_2015-01-13-16-47-00.png)
  8. Over an hour and a half later - I received the now familiar: Error! Touch to view... (See screenshot: Screenshot_2015-01-13-17-35-40.png) and the Uh oh!: Screenshot_2015-01-13-19-10-08.png
I lost all data for this WORKOUT. It appears that whether you have 4 activities selected or 7 - the client app/back-end AWS servers are unable to process/return this data.

When you have to waste time setting up; waiting over an hour for uploading data to be analyzed and all the failures at device recognition - this product is just not worth the hassle...

Today's workout session started like this:
  • Selected 6 activities.
  • Decided to re-train Crunches | Tapped and held on the Activity CRUNCHES | Activiy Options: TRAIN AGAIN | Tap To Start | Did them for 30 seconds after the 10 second count down | QUEUED
  • It's now been QUEUED for 22 minutes. I can not use this application because I have to wait for the re-training of the activity... I can not Begin the Workout because the activity is not ready to select.
LESSON: Do not train or re-train an activity BEFORE your workout!

So I waited... it is unexceptionable to have to wait 30 minutes before you can begin your workout when are are READY to begin your workout (see above post): See screenshots: WoReTrainAnal.png | WoReTrainQue.png
  • I selected 5 pre-programmed (Trained) activities (See screenshots: wo_sel.png | wo_sel2.png | create_wo.png )
  • When I was ready to BEGIN WORKOUT (See screenshot: WoBegin.png } I got an error message (See screenshots: UnableToStartWo.png ). I have received this error message on almost every workout since I've started this. Some days multiple times. Delaying the start of my workout another 5 minutes before it connected and I could begin...
  • It tracked 15 sets. It recognized 15 sets (yesterday was a different experience).
  • The amiigo correctly identified - in the days TImeline - only the CRUNCHES (2 of the 3 sets) all other activities where reported as the generic: FULL BODY // BURST | UPPER BODY BURST | LOWER BODY BURST (it identified the body "areas" correctly, surprisingly).
  • All tracked activities where incorrect in actual rep counts. 2 sets where tracked below 8 reps: 7x; 5x (I was under the impression amiigo needed at minimum 8 reps to track an activity
I will post yesterdays WORKOUT below this thread (I was to busy to do so yesterday) there you will see that the amiigo MISSED many of my activities. At least on this day it tracked them. However, all incorrectly.

Note: While I did not select SEATED DUMBBELL PRESS as they clash with BENCH PRESS and the app can't do both together - the app picked them up anyway as BENCH PRESS even tho I did not choose the activity for the workout.

With 6 trained activities selected the amiigo reported on 8 (2 not selected; 1 activity (FLAT BENCH DUMBBELL FLYS) I haven't trained the app to recognize yet but it reported it as BENCH PRESS/FULL BODY / BURSTs):

AMIIGO: Situps: 4 sets: 23, 24, 12, 11
ACTUAL: 4 sets:           25, 25, 25, 25

AMIIGO: Jumping Rope: 111 (Identified as FULL BODY / BURST not the trained activity JUMPING ROPE)
ACTUAL: 120

AMIIGO: Bench Press: 10,  9,  11,  8
ACTUAL: 4 sets:           12, 12, 10,  8, 4

AMIIGO (Activity Not Selected for Workout): Seated Dumbbell Press seen as BENCH PRESS with the exception of the first set correctly identified as SEATED DUMBBELL PRESS: 4 sets: 11,  7,  11, 10
ACTUAL: 4 sets:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 12, 10, 10, 10

AMIIGO (Activity Not Selected for Workout): FLAT BENCH DUMBBELL FLYS: 4 sets: 12,   9 ,10, 8 (Two sets identified as FULL BODY / BURST; Two as BENCH PRESS)
ACTUAL: 4 sets:                                                                                                               12, 10, 10, 8

AMIIGO: Bent Over Row: 3 sets: 13, 11, 12, 6
ACTUAL: 4 sets:                          12, 10, 10, 6

AMIIGO: Leg Lifts: 2 sets: 11, 12
ACTUAL: 2 sets:                12, 12

I noticed a bit better accuracy (off by 1 or 2 reps) this session. Jumping Rope still being way off. The fact that it's picked up two (2) un-selected activities is interesting. The FLYS were the best in accuracy.
No trouble this session with ending workout finding all devices.

The more data you provide, the better it gets at recognizing what you are doing. After about a week I have almost zero issues with it recognizing almost 20 different exercises, from free weights to boxing.

Function: WORKOUT / Train Activity

Another Failed Workout / Training Session

It took over 20 minutes to finally to compile the Train Activity exercise. It showed the SYNC QUEUING failed but going back to it later showed available for using? It didn't record STEPS during the entire workout (this has happened in other sessions). It added extra sets I didn't do. I now have another activity in the TIMELINE (WALKING) just spinning... (Analyzing)

So I started my routine without the amiigo (I actually want to workout - not wait for amiigo to upload/sync/analyze data and when and if that happens successfully - workout).

35 minutes later here's what amiigo reported (I wanted to see if the new activity was working (DUMBBELL FLYS):

AMIIGO: SEATED DUMBBELL PRESS: 10, 10 (I asked amiigo not to record this activity - I did not select SEATED DUMBBELL PRESS as they clash with BENCH PRESS and the app can't do both together)
ACTUAL: 2 sets:                                      10, 10

AMIIGO: DUMBBELL FLYS: 4 sets: 09, 09, 10, 11
ACTUAL: 4 sets:                               10, 10, 10, 10

AMIIGO: Bent Over Row: 5 sets: 11, 11, 23, 18, 11 (recorded an extra set!)
ACTUAL: 4 sets:                          10, 10, 10, 10

AMIIGO: Leg Lifts: 2 sets: 13, 12

ACTUAL: 2 sets:                12, 12

Again, wildly inaccurate data and an disruption to a workout routine just to get the software to work....

Just out of curiosity, do you do all of your sets at once? For example, dumbbell fly's, are you doing 4 sets of 10 one right after the other? Or do you do 10 fly's, then 20 leg presses, then 10 lat pulldowns. I do a circuit of regular weight lifting routines, but I don't recall ever being 20 reps off. Maybe I should try it the other way and see what happens.

Yes. I do all my sets for a particular body part at once before moving on to the next. 4 sets of 10 then on to the next.

Jumping Rope is way-off for me. Yesterdays workout (which I have not listed yet) did not identify one activity as its trained name (All are id'd as FULL/UPPER BODY // BURST). A first in the 24 days I've been using it (it usually miss id'd only 3 or 4).

4 activities selected.

Application failed to sync the data when ending workout. Today (01/29/15 13:27 it's "stuck" on "Analyzing your workout" and is just spinning in yesterdays Activity Timeline...
