However, when writing an outline for an article series, you have to do it a little differently. After all, you dont want all the articles covering the same points, right? Regardless of what anyone tells you, writing 4 or 5 great articles as a series and submitting them, is far better than writing one article and spinning it into oblivion. First, it shows youre not lazy, but more importantly it shows you know more about your topic than what can be contained in one article. And unless youre shooting to be an expert in the number of ways one can express a single point, spinning wont get you expert status in any other field. So youll want to write a series o f articles to cover all the points you want to make on your topic. Under normal circumstances, youd write your outline from point A to point B, and so on until youve completed everything you want to say in your article. But when writing an article series, its important to get each group of points separated so you dont overlap and cover the same points more than once. In the case of writing for a series, youd want point A to consist of the first point for however many articles going into the series. For example . . . If you were writing a single article about say, dog obedience, youd want to start with the problem, so your outline might be: 1. Various ways dogs misbehave 2. Causes of the misbehavior 3. Obedience Solutions Your first point then would cover indications of disobedience, second would give possible reasons for them, and third would offer some solutions. Simple!
