From Sister Confianza
Sister Annette's appointment at the Honduran Consulate in Montreal has been postponed until at least December 9. A week ago, she submitted her application for a Canadian visa with the help of Janice, a travel agent in Kingston, Jamaica. Janice says that visa approvals usually take 3-4 weeks, but can take longer. We just have to wait. She will keep postponing the Honduran visa appointment as needed.
As soon as we learn that Annette's Canadian visa has been approved, we will purchase plane tickets. Annette will probably spend about 10 days in Canada. Besides the Honduran visa appointment, she has to get a couple of her Haitian documents authenticated at the Haitian Embassy and then translated into Spanish for her residency application.
In the meantime, Annette continues to work several days a week with the Missionaries of Charity caring for elderly and mentally ill women. When she isn't working, she joins us online for our prayer times. It is lovely to be able to worship together virtually, and we look forward to the day when we can do it in person!
Please continue to pray for Annette, her visa process and travels. And also pray for me as I get through the last 10 days of my permaculture course. May my strength endure and the computer hold out. (It has a lot of little problems and parts wearing out.)
Bendiciones,
Sister Confianza
