Monday is a day of celebration for us. Hermana Confianza turns 40 on Tuesday, and Hermano Daniel is finishing his time here (his 40th is in just a couple more weeks!). We think some chocolate cake is in order! Tuesday we will all be traveling. Daniel returns to San Pedro Sula, and we Sisters go to La Ceiba for a cardiologist appointment for Sister Alegría. Here are some closing thoughts from Hermano Daniel.
My visit to the Amigas del Señor Monastery is coming to an end. During my stay I had the opportunity to experience a rhythm of life centered on work and prayer. I reflected on the need for obedience to God, and of mutual accountability in community, the importance of voluntary poverty, for a true conversion of life. This time helped me to discern my leadings, to know myself more deeply and to share intimately about my challenges in following God's will. I am immensely grateful with Sister Alegría and Sister Confianza for their hospitality, for their patience with me, who had never lived so close to nature and in such a simple beautiful way. I leave their home with a full and tender heart, with a renewed commitment towards creation care, a desire to follow Christ without fear, open to the unexpected and to serve others with humility. I ask you to continue to support and pray for these servants of the Lord. Please hold me in the Light of Christ and in your prayers for my journey in life outside this sacred ground.

Mi visita al Monasterio de las Amigas del Señor llega a su fin, durante mi estadía tuve la oportunidad de experimentar un ritmo de vida centrado en el trabajo y la oración. Reflexioné sobre la necesidad de la obediencia a Dios y de la responsabilidad mutua en comunidad, la importancia de la pobreza voluntaria, para una verdadera conversión de vida. Este tiempo me ayudó a discernir mis llamados, a conocerme más profundamente y a compartir íntimamente mis desafíos para seguir la voluntad de Dios. Estoy inmensamente agradecido con la Hna. Alegría y Hna. Confianza por su hospitalidad, por su paciencia conmigo, que nunca había vivido tan cerca de la naturaleza y de una manera tan sencilla y hermosa. Dejo su hogar con un corazón henchido y tierno, con un compromiso renovado por el cuidado de la creación, con el deseo de seguir a Cristo sin miedo, abierto a lo inesperado y de servir a los demás con humildad. Les pido que sigan apoyando y orando por estas siervas del Señor. Por favor, manténganme en la Luz de Cristo y en sus oraciones por mi viaje en la vida fuera de este lugar sagrado.
