Most evenings, Hermana Lise took walks along the beach just a few blocks from the monastery in Limon. She captured this picturesque scene along the lagoon: several fishing boats moored at the shore at sunset, with a full moon rising.
Lise likes physical activity, and worked for an hour every morning continuing the permaculture project. She (with some help from Lorany's kids one morning) dug two compost pits and has gotten them half full with twigs and leaves from the mango tree that was severely pruned in January. We can finally see the ground in the yard again, instead of messy piles of branches. Plus we got q+some nice firewood out of it! Another day, she and I planted baby bananas to fill out the circles where some bananas were already growing. Here's Hermana Lise showing off two young banana starts in one circle:

It was nice work, but aggravated the long COVID symptoms I've been experiencing this past month. I was pretty sick several days in the last two weeks, exhausted with a tired sore chest. Some of it is breathing, though that is mostly under control with inhaler use. We decided it's time to get more help, and tomorrow I have an appointment in Tocoa with Sister Alegria's great cardiologist. Lise and I will leave on the 5am bus, and then she will continue her journey to San Pedro Sula and fly back to Massachusetts on Sunday. Prayers and good vibes are greatly appreciated!
