I just wanted to share with my geek colleagues my "gadget of the year" moment today watching my partner Mike Giles use this robot to participate in a meeting in San Francisco from our office in Amherst...we were skeptical about the value at first, but then just blown away at the value after being able to have a robot fully under your control represent you in a meeting!

$2k + an iPad.  Very cool.

Wow, very cool.  As a telecommuter I use videoconferencing quite a bit to participate in meetings back at HQ (in Silicon Valley).  I've already shared this link with our CIO Office.  Thanks for passing it along.

Yeah, driving it around the office, driving up to people's desks to chat and actually "attending" a meeting (at the table, being able to look around the room) is a very cool experience.  Really unlike anything else as a remote worker.

If anyone wants to try it out, let me know and you can swing by our Amherst office sometime and take one for a spin.

-Mike
