Hello,
I’m writing to ask for your advice regarding a recent issue I encountered with Pléiades acquisitions.
After receiving my stereo acquisition, I noticed that it was split into several JP2 images, accompanied by a single RPC file. As is standard in our processing pipeline for generating DEMs, I merged the JP2 images using the following commands:
However, right at the first step of our processing chain, which uses mapproject, ASP fails to load the RPC model and throws the following error:
ERROR: Unable to load RPC model from either image.tif or RPC_PHR1A_P_*-1.XML.After discussing directly with Airbus, it appears that the issue stems from the fact that the RPC files provided only include the global RFM model, whereas, in other acquisitions that work correctly, the XML file also includes the partial RFM models. Airbus informed us that partial RFMs are only produced when the acquisition duration exceeds 4 seconds (as stated in the Pléiades user manual), but in practice, they are only generated for durations greater than 10 seconds. Unfortunately, this seems to be the case with our acquisitions...
So my question is: is there a way in ASP to load or use RPC files that only contain the global RFM model, without the partial models? If needed, I can privately share an example of one of the problematic RPC files.
Thank you in advance for your help and advice.
Best regards,
Romain
