Creating an HRSC DEM in ASP !!!!!!!1

Hello, everyone,
I'm having a problem producing DEM HRSC. Here's what's happening:
1- I export the level 2 HRSC images from PSA ESA ( by selecting the image and clicking Download), and then a ZIP file is provided which contains several things including: an IMG, a JPG and a PDS.LBL. ( even if I open the image in a text editor with the command less image_name.IMG, it seems to provide information from the PDS. )

2- When I execute the commands given in the ASP documentation (8.10. Mars Express High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC):
ISIS> hrsc2isis from=h1995_0000_s12.img to=h1995_0000_s12.cub
ISIS> hrsc2isis from=h1995_0000_s22.img to=h1995_0000_s22.cub
ISIS> spiceinit from=h1995_0000_s12.cub ckpredicted=true
ISIS> spiceinit from=h1995_0000_s22.cub ckpredicted=true
ISIS> parallel_stereo h1995_0000_s12.cub h1995_0000_s22.cub \
         --stereo-algorithm 2 --cost-mode 3 mgm/out
It fails all the commands and gives an error on the first command (ISIS> hrsc2isis from=h1995_0000_s12.img to=h1995_0000_s12.cub) which says : USER ERROR** THIS IMAGE DOES NOT CONTAIN A PDS LABEL. YOU WILL NEED AN IMAGE WITH PDS LABEL OR A DETACHED PDS LABEL FOR THIS IMAGE. ERROR UNABLE DO READ PVL FILE [image_name]. ERROR IN PVL FILE ON LINE [2]. USER ERROR [!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN"] IS INVALID. KEYWORD NAME CANNOT CONTAIN WITHESPACE.  

 
 Questions:

What am I doing wrong? I'm following the ASP documentation.
Do you know how to produce a DEM HRSC?
It's supposed to activate the ISIS environment  before you start running these commands? ( I'm doing it, but just to confirm)

Looks like the old images got superseded by new images on the HRSC website, per https://pds-geosciences.wustl.edu/missions/mars_express/hrsc.htm.

Also looks like hrsc2isis cannot process the new images, which are level 3 instead of level 2. A workaround is to edit these files and set level to 2.

I updated the doc at https://stereopipeline.readthedocs.io/en/latest/examples/hrsc.html to reflect the latest changes, including the workaround. Hopefully at some point the hrsc2isis program will catch up and will process these data sets without editing them.
