Happy AmeriCorps week to you all!!
Today I'm kinda moody, I must say. Nothing really work related, more personal, but of course it all bleeds in.
But my boss said "Oh, Its AmeriCorps week, lets all thank Melissa!" Extremely cheesy and embarrassing, but it definitely took my mood from a 3 to about a 6. A thank you really helps, so I want to thank you all!!
For dealing with metro card drama, and low pay, and crazy subway riders who spit in our faces, and patients who dig nails into our forearms, and doctors who visit us at 6am.

HAPPY AMERICORPS WEEK EVERYBODY!
Melissa, you are so right, a thank you feels so good :)
Today my office had a party for me- for Americorps week and my bday is coming up too!! It was so sweet, they sang "For (she's) a jolly good fellow" which apparently has an alternate ending that goes on and on and on... AND "Happy Birthday". Everybody brought delicious food and someone made a cheesecake because I had told her last year that it was my absolute favorite and she remembered!!! It was really special :)! Even the doctor who I confronted about bullying a patient signed my card! WOW!
Hope everyone else has had a special experience this week or a thank you. If not, let me know, then prepare to receive a spider-monkey-tackle-hug because you all do such amazing work and should know it!
