President Obama should look to Italy, not Canada for a true socialized
health system.

In my recently written book I explore how half-truths deceive
mankind....and in one case we look at health care.

Many in the USA and even Canada look at Canada's Universal system as
'socialized health care"....THIS IS WRONG....It is universal, to a
large degree but it is not socialized....the doctors are still self-
employed as businessmen...and that creates a problem.

More illness more money, if you get paid per visit. There is no
financial incentive for prevention nor good health.

The key, the solution, as in Italy pay your doctors a flat fee per
patient per year. Now the financial incentive is to keep your
patients healthy....

The system in CAnada and the USA, creates an inverse relationship
between your health and the doctors' income. No disease no income if
you pay your doctor a fee per visit.

Look to Italy, ranked in the top two in the world, USA ranks 36th,
cost over $7,000 per person, Canada ranks 30th, and Italy in the top
two...costing some $ 1,600 per person.

What you save in health care costs, you can spend on GMC products.

Good post.

This week the White House launched a web site dedicated to the Health
Reform issue and are asking people to pass on the link. It's called:
"Reality Check."

It's at: http://www.whitehouse.gov/realitycheck/

Seems pretty good. Their email about it read:

"There are too many folks in Washington who are willing to lie for
partisan gain, or engage in hateful rhetoric to score political
points, for reform to come easily. We all need to step up -- and it
starts with you passing along "Reality Check" today."

They also note: "With news of disruptions at some town halls, it's
easy to forget the progress we've made. But because of your continued
commitment, the tide is turning."

Let's keep moving forward.!
