OCTOBER 3-4, CHATANOOGA, TN
http://middleburyinstitute.org/secessionconvention2007.html
September 4, 2007
The Second Secessionist Convention, cosponsored by the League of the
South and the Middlebury Institute, will be held in Chatanooga, TN, on
October 3-4 this year.
At the moment there are delegates pledged from 14 secessionist
organizations in North America, from Hawaii to Georgia, and 2 from
Europe, plus a dozen observers and four members of the press. (This
year, unlike last year at the first Secessionist Convention, the press
is welcome.)
The convention, which begins at 7 p.m. October 3, will feature reports
from secessionist delegates throughout the next day, from 9 a.m. to 4
p.m., followed by a wide-ranging discussion of strategies, recruitment,
legal tactics, and other issues of concern to the movement.
The convention will be held at the Marriott Convention Center Hotel in
downtown Chatanooga (tel. 423-756-0002).
For more information, contact Kirkpatrick Sale, Director, Middlebury
Institute.
