Subject: Lectureship in Archaeology of Complex Societies & Climate (for distribution)

Dear Colleague,

La Trobe is currently advertising a continuing Lectureship in Archaeology (Level B) with a focus on the intersection between complex societies and climate, and I would be very grateful if you could share this with your networks.

Best wishes, and thanks!

Keir

The Department of Archaeology and History of La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia) invites applications for a full-time continuing lectureship in archaeology.

We welcome applications from archaeologists who work on the intersections between complex human societies and the environment and climate.  This is intentionally defined broadly, and we welcome any regional and period specialisations that add to or complement existing strengths within the department. The successful candidate should also either have an active fieldwork program, or demonstrable potential to develop one in the future.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop research programs and funding proposals, and to undertake and disseminate primary research. They will be expected to teach 2-3 subjects annually. They will also have opportunities to develop and build new curriculum.

The deadline for applications is Nov 20th, with the successful candidate starting in early 2023 (with some flexibility).
