Great day for a ride. John, a guest rider and potential new member, joined us today. He just moved to the island from Georgia and is looking for a place to buy. Gopher Tortoises were out today (pic of one cooling off in the surf from the other day). Everyone took the trail both ways. From the rest stop at the Fort George bridge it was nice looking down to where I was paddling yesterday. It is such a beautiful area! … Rich W

Nice report, Rich, as always.  Interesting to see a gopher tortoise on the edge of the surf.  I have heard that the salt water helps them deal with ticks, with which they can be infested.  Poor things!!!

Hope to see y'all tomorrow...but no ticks!
