After last night's much-needed rain, this morning seemed cooler, damper, and a little bit slower than last Saturday. So we had a dozen fun-loving NFBC registered riders show up at Main Beach to socialize and go for a bike ride.
Since last Saturday's ride was canceled because of Shrimp Festival crowds (really, let's blame it on the rain!), we postponed our May 2026 passing of the helmet until today, and I delivered $161.00 in cash to the Nassau Humane Society on behalf of generous cyclists. You know who you are. Our monthly donations have added up since October 2016, and we have now collected and donated a grand total of $13,275.00--our way of thanking the Nassau Humane Society for their Dog Park rest-stop hospitality, and for all they do for lucky dogs.
Thanks go out to Mike L for co-leading today's ride, and later reporting no unforeseen mishaps or mayhem. Thanks also go out to all who came out to ride with us today. We did have fun.
See y'all next week...I hope!
