Would you call today's Nassau County Ride an adventure? It was an adventure for me because first time for me to be back on full cycling duty since my wife's passing and my recovery from sepsis. Doctors have no idea how I got sepsis but many hospital tests revealed a very healthy cyclist. Just had to recover with daily nurses at home doing IV injections with PT visits to get my strength back. My sepsis started suddenly with extreme weakness prompting a call for 911. ER knew what it was immediately and started IV antibiotics with 8 days in the hospital.
