to Amelia Island Cycling
Seven of us (Jim, Don, Richard, Gus, Rick, Ronda, myself) rode our Amelia Island Trail ride, enjoying perfect bike-riding sunny weather with a south wind to help us on the first half of the ride.

We ran into (not literally) Wald M and Jerry Y and enjoyed visting with each.

We also ran into two busloads of senior tourists from Pennsylvania at Burney Park visiting on a but tour out of Jacksonville.  What a crowd on a day that hardly anyone else was out.

Tree triming contractor folks were parked on the trail near the state park, with trucks and piles of branches on either side of us and they kindly stopped work while they directed us by.

There were lots of of folks fishing on the Crady Bridge Fishing Pier, but not a lot of catching going on.  The word was that the fish were biting earlier, but not now.  The tide was going out, with a strong current under the bridge. Was it a good crowd due to the nice weather, or perhaps a greater need for food?   Barnabus said this week that they are experiencing a 40% increase in need since July.   Just something to think about.  We are lucky to have so many places to fish on our island.

With no flats or problems, this all made for a great bike ride.
