Tomorrow’s weather looks optimal for a fun 16 mile bike ride: sunshine, breeze from the south, and temps in the 50’s. Please join me at Peter’s Point tomorrow morning for the 10am start . Bring your helmets, good brakes, and greased chains ( that’s for you, Amy😀). There will be a safety brief ahead of the ride.
Please be sure to sign up at the NFBC events calendar page. Thanks. See you then!

I wish I could be there, too, but Don and I are heading "home" to the ATL for a fun get-away.  Miss y'all already.

Thanks,

I guess it sounds like a broken record but we had fun, good conversation, and good bike etiquette on today’s social ride on the Amelia Island Trail. 13 of us enjoyed the morning’s ride. We even had Mike P show up at the Peter’s Point start, dressed for trail admin work rather than riding but it was still nice to see him there. I got to “draft” behind Walt for the first time in ages and reconnect with several other riders today. That’s what social riding is all about!
The baby eagles in the nest at the south end of the trail are growing leaps and bounds and some of us got to see them.
Next week we will probably need to make adjustments for fancy cars ( The Amelia) and big trucks at Peter’s Point so try to stay posted to any changes in start location.
Please try to attend the meeting 6pm tonight at the Atlantic Rec Center, subject: improving safety for pedestrians and cyclists along Citrona. And the meeting next week at the Peck Center with presentation of plans for a trail that connects Simmons Trail to Hancock St and 14 th St. It’s important we share our thoughts and show support as the trails contribute so much to bicycle safety.
Thanks for riding today!
