Hello all,
Despite the recent heat, nine cyclists joined us today for the Wednesday Social Trail Ride. After canceling the previous two weeks due to rain, it was wonderful to finally get back out on the trails. We met at Peter's Point for a safety briefing and kept our rest stops brief to stay cool.
Please join me in celebrating Norm S.’s 85th birthday. To mark the occasion, Norm treated the group to ice cream at Marché Burette’s, which was a highlight of a great day of riding.
On a sadder note, I am sharing the news that Steve Josephs passed away yesterday morning after a brave two-year battle with a brain tumor. Steve fought incredibly hard and even participated in an experimental treatment. I feel very fortunate to have had a wonderful visit with him and Liz this past Friday.
To honor Steve’s life and positive spirit, please join us this Saturday at the Main Beach Ride. Steve, we love you and will deeply miss your smiling face and inspiring attitude. Liz, we hope you can come by and see us at the start of the ride.
