Join us for a fun and leisurely ride along Amelia Island Trail from Peters Point to the south end of the island and back again!  Remember we require helmets and working brakes on all NFBC rides.  See you then .

Hi, Folks,

    Just a quick note to report another terrific ride on AIT today.  Frankly, today was a perfect spring weather day so doing anything outdoors would be fine   But getting to ride a bike with friends was as good as it gets.

      Eleven of us showed and rode.  That included Jessica, a member who rides in Jacksonville but decided to give us a try today and we’re glad she did.   Also, Ron completed his first ever group ride with us. He reports he’ll be back!   

      We had the usual safe and chatty time of it with some of the group trying out the bike lanes on the road for part of the ride.  We did have a good sized gopher tortoise join us a Burney.  She seemed to Bee-line for Peter who tried petting her briefly.  Maybe someone took a good photo of her?  And Gus noticed we had a very good viewing of the eagle in its nest north of the fishing bridge.
