Ride Report for Joe's Friday Special 9/5/2025

All,

We had 9 riders for today's Friday Special.  Weather was near perfect...sunny low humidity, mild winds.  We had our usual safety brief and discussed the changes to ESWR due to the inability of FDOT to finish the paving of Heckscher south of Ft. George Inlet.  Amy discussed the changes and then asked for volunteers for all facets.  Of particular importance...we need SAG drivers.  If you are not riding, this is a way for you to help the Club.

Ride was uneventful...no mechanicals or flats reported.  Everyone made it back to SuperCorsa safely.

We had a larger group at the Brain Trust at V's.  Joe Wasil made an appearance.  It was good seeing his smiling face.  He's recovering well and using a cane.  I understand he likely won't be riding soon as he plans to have surgery on his knee (an older injury and unrelated to his hip injury).  Get well soon Joe.
