Where are all the Amelia Island riders?!?!
I had 8 registered and 9 rode! Amy started in Yulee to get several miles in before the heat! Three from Jax (DannyH, HenryH & JohnP) met us at Fort George Inlet (shorter drive). JohnP (different one) started with us but wasn’t feeling it and turned around at about 20 miles.
I won the flat tire prize picking up a nail at Simpson Creek area. Team effort got me back on the road. Thanks to Amy for the boot, JoeW for the extra tube and others who lent a hand and moral support! We maintained a speed that better managed the heat/distance. EdW was keeping an eye on his heart rate so as not to overdue it!

As a ride leader, I appreciate riders who communicate how they’re feeling and what they may want to adjust for their individual safety and enjoyment of everyone!!
