All,

Eight riders on today's Joe's Friday Special.  The ridership will start declining for the next few months because of our northern friends going back to their home states.  Weather was near perfect with temperatures in the low 70s, mild winds, and nice cloud cover.

We had our safety brief and everyone headed out.  DonnaP and I were behind everyone and by the time we were on Little Talbot Island trail heading south we saw everyone else heading back north.

We had a good group at the Brain Trust.  Lots of food, cookies, brownies, beer and wine and conversation.  Enjoy the photos and videos.

Thanks for the birthday wishes...it was a great day,
George

PS We will need a ride leader for next week's Friday Special (5/8)

Hello Fellow Cyclists,

We’ll meet at the anchor at the new Waterfront Park in downtown Fernandina Beach.  The weather should be ideal with sunshine and a starting temperature in the upper 60s with a 6-8mph wind out of the NE.

This will be one of the last rides for our snowbirds who have decided to remain in sunny Florida into the month of May.

Looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow morning by 9am.

Hello Fellow Cyclists,

We met at the anchor at the new Waterfront Park in downtown Fernandina Beach.  The weather was ideal with sunshine and comfortable temperatures and light winds.

We had 10 riders, although only Phillip & Cheryl completed the 41-mile loop (as far as I know and Cheryl reported).  Also, as far as I know, everyone completed the ride with NO flats, mechanicals, or injuries — another safe and successful ride on the Island.  Thanks for everyone exercising care and caution.

At Rich’s prodding, I did take one pic at the Anchor (please see attached).

Nice ride report, Jim, and an even better photo!  It was fun seeing y'all riding out of the State Park as I was on my way in to "work."  Glad y'all had fun on another beautiful day.

Your fan,
Ms T

Hello Fellow Cyclists,

We’ll meet at the anchor at the new Waterfront Park in downtown Fernandina Beach.  The weather should be warm with sunshine and a starting temperature in the upper 70s with a 8mph wind out of the east.

John G will be at the start to read the ride instructions and I will meet the group along the route (I have an 8:15am doc appointment).

Ash Street is once again closed, so drivers will have to approach the start via Center Street.  If you’re cycling, you can take the sidewalk on Ash, but please yield to pedestrians.

See you tomorrow.

-JIM
