Wednesday Ride Report

Hi everyone,

We had 19 riders join the Amelia Island Wednesday Social Trail Ride today! I believe this is a record for this ride.

As usual, we met at Peters Point for a safety briefing before rolling out in two groups. Our first stop was Burney Park. Along the way, a passing driver yelled, "Go North Florida Bike Club!" It turned out to be our friend Peter P., who is nearly recovered from his accident and stopped by Burney Park to say hello.

At Burney Park, we took a group photo before heading down the trail to the George Crady Bridge. Please see the attached pictures of the Crady Pier; the entrance was buried under sand, so we had to walk our bikes through that section.

The weather was beautiful. Donna and George joined us on their folding bikes, and Phillip was out training for his next gravel bike adventure. It was also great to see our visiting snowbirds, George, Paula, Cindy, and Larry, as well as Susan T., who we had not seen on the Wednesday ride for a while!! 

Oh, and I made friend with one of the birds on the Pier.

Beautiful day, beautiful ride report, beautiful ride leader.  Thanks again, Amy, for all you do!  Even the bird-brains agree!!!!
