It was a little iffy this morning with spotty showers in the area. Donna texted me at 9 am saying it was raining hard at her house. That was moments after my email saying the drizzle had passed and the ride would be a go! As it happens, all’s well that ends well….we had fine, albeit January, weather for the whole ride.
We were six. Bill B was back in the saddle! And Peter, Gus , Cindy & Larry (from Nova Scotia), and me. Your ride leader ( me) had to skedaddle part way through the ride . So, thank you Bill, for stepping up and taking the reins to complete the job! By all reports there were no incidents to report. Except Bill reported two blue herons making googly eyes at each other at the Crady Bridge. No activity at the eagle nest yet.
Tomorrow looks kinda cool and windy for the Main Beach ride. Hope you all stay safe and dress warm!
We are all thinking of Amy as she’s nursing her elbow and hope she’ll be back riding soon.
Photo: A blast from the past from the days when we could actually cross the Crady bridge for our break!
