All,
Five hardy (i.e. crazy) riders gathered at SuperCorsa for the weekly ride down to Mayport Ferry. It was cold today (temps in the low 40s with real feel in the upper 30s). The skies were sunny and wind was minimal so all in all, it wasn't bad cycling weather.
Everyone wore long pants/leggings except PeterB. He did wear wool, mid-calf socks to make us feel less like wimps. (PeterB...you are my hero.)
After the safety brief, we left SuperCorsa at 10AM and headed south. There were no mechanicals but one flat. Yours truly caught a metal shaving somewhere on the road and didn't notice the real tire was flat until I was ready to leave the pavilion. It was
an ideal location to replace a tube...sunny skies, picnic bench, and time.
Repairing the flat meant I was tardy for the Brain Trust at V's. Needless to say, the Brain Trust was much better attended than the ride (I'm sure DonnaP's cookies had something to do about that!).
All in all a good day.
George
