Another beautiful morning here on Amelia Island, near-perfect temperatures, breezy but not too windy, and we had 17 NFBC registered riders show up at Main Beach to go for a bike ride. There's always something going on here, and today was no exception, as the Keep Amelia Beautiful organization was setting up at Main Beach for their annual Wild Amelia Nature Festival. Check it out:

Our wonderful former Prez, Amy K, announced a change in tomorrow's ride, which usually leaves on Sunday mornings from Burney Park. Instead, because of the ongoing construction on US 17 ("resurfacing"?), would-be cyclists should gather at the History Museum in Callahan for a ride to Kings Ferry and post-ride BBQ--with a goal of making Allen G envious.
Amy also commented on what an amazing group of cyclists we have to ride with. And she is right, as always. Everybody today enjoyed the chats and catching up, with all sorts of conversations for the eavesdroppers among us. That would be yours truly.
Thanks go out to Amy for picking up the baton of now-disabled Ride Leader Emeritus Don E to keep scheduling our regular bike rides and getting our bike buddies to take on the responsibility (and fun) of leading those rides. Great job, Amy! ❤️
Thanks also go out to Mike L for co-leading today's ride and later reporting no mishaps or mayhem, just good times had by all.
Love y'all,
Susan T
