How can I break a left leg simply coming (slipping) off SPD pedal for something I am well aware of with no reason to unclip until I get off the trike?   How was it possible to casually hold my dangling foot with pain free trauma?  Took 3 paramedics and 3 fire truck crew to lift me still sitting on trike onto stretcher.  There was absolutely nothing to cause my misfortune.  No crash, no debris,  no traffic,  no dangers and perfect weather.

By noon on my leg was set (reduced) In a cast for just overnight because decided against immediate surgery because of  blood thinners.   Stay the night at Baptist Nassau for Tuesday morning surgery with one rod and four screws.  No cast and able to weight on right away.  I requested to go to River City Rehab so by Thursday afternoon last week I was there already pedaling on the stuff Joe Pitchko was using.   Daily PT, lots of fun and games, eat in dining room, etc.   I read about River City Rehab from our Google Groups. 

Get around fine in wheelchair and working towards using a walker. Leg aches putting weight on it.  They tell me I an entitled to stay 80 days fully covered so only 73 more days to go. They figured at least two weeks.
