All,
Six riders met at SuperCorsa for the weekly Friday Special. Before the start, we saw Drew and Tasha packing up a trailer for their move to Durango. We all went to say our goodbyes. We will surely miss them. (Drew says he'll be back on or about 5/27 to finalize
some items before he formally closes the shop.
We had our safety brief and headed out. The ride south was fun but the turnaround at Ft. George and ride north was not. Steady winds of 13-15 mph with gusts up to 25 made it a bit of a slog, especially crossing the Nassau Sound Bridge. One of the attached
photos shows the progress on the Timucuan Trail south of Ft. George Inlet to Huguenot Park. They are making progress but it's still not a safe stretch of road.
No mechanicals or flats to report (yay!) and everyone made it home OK.
The Brain Trust was lively. Gus' brother John came by and shared in the party.
I'll be unable to lead any rides after 5/20 for a while so can someone please volunteer to lead for next week's Friday Special (5/22).
That's about it,
George
