We completed the 77-mile route pre-ride on Saturday. It was a bit hot and windy, so we decided to complete the remaining Yulee Loop section on Sunday.

Good News!  The south-end parking lot next to the bridge was sand-free!  I am not sure if the park cleaned it or if some of you cleaned it but it looks great!

It will be used for the 30-mile turn-around.

On Saturday there was broken glass on the south side of the circle by the airport.

Front street is very rough these days but otherwise the sections on the island are in very good condition.  However, I may have missed something.  If anyone has comments about potential hazards, let me know.  Sometimes a group of 30 cyclists can go through an area with no problems but it might be a problem for 700 cyclists.  For example, there is a drop-off (hole) on the shoulder for the turn into SuperCorsa/Baxters that needs to be marked.

Burney Park will be an in and out rest stop this year and we will not be riding through American Beach.

Thanks,
JONATHAN

There are some areas near the Mayport Ferry and further down that need  work but I iwll will report on that later.
