Tour du Mont Blanc: 100 miles through the Swiss, Italian & French
Alps

AMC Auditorium, 4 Joy St, Boston MA
The 100 mile Tour du Mont Blanc traverses through Switzerland, Italy,
and France as it circumnavigates the “Monarch of the Alps,” Mont Blanc
(15,781’). The highest peak in Western Europe, Mont Blanc, with its
retinue of glaciers, imposing needles, and impressive peaks presents a
wonderful photographic backdrop for any hiking tour. In July of 2011,
Joan and Cliff Chambers led 10 enthusiastic hikers on an AMC Adventure
Travel trip through this region steeped in alpine history with
wonderful cultural, culinary, and linguistic diversity. Join Joan,
Cliff, and participant/photographer Fred Ross as they relate stories
of adventure, triumph, and cows. This presentation is a great way to
learn about AMC Adventure Travel and to pick up some useful tips for
planning or participating on this tour!
All shows take place at the AMC Cabot Auditorium, 4 Joy St, Boston,
MA. Doors open @ 6:15pm, potluck @ 6:30pm, slideshow @ 7:15pm. If you

Potluck Info:
For those who wish to participate in the potluck at 6:30pm, feel free
to use the following guidelines: Last names beginning with L-Z bring a
main dish, A-K bring an salad, appetizer or side dish. Homemade
dishes are welcome, store bought goodies & takeout are equally
welcome:) Plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, napkins and drink pitchers
will be supplied. The auditorium has a kitchen if you need to do any
re-warming or prep (w/stovetop, oven, microwave, sink & fridge).
Please bring your own cooking pots if needed for stovetop.
Subway Directions:
Take the MBTA to Park Street Station. Walk through the Boston Common
uphill towards the State House on Beacon St. To the left of the State
House is Joy St; follow Joy St uphill to the AMC Auditorium Building

Parking:
Nearby parking is available at the Boston Common Garage, located
underneath the Boston Common. Access is off Charles St, between the
Public Garden and the Boston Common. We offer $6 parking tickets at
