Dear Aniruddha

Thank you for your comments and suggestions on my recent article in GRASP.I certainly agree that
there is a great need to sensitize doctors about patient sensitivities . Simply , we as doctors need to develop
the ability to put ourselves in the shoes of the patient while dealing with them.

I think it is a good idea for AMC to network with HELP and take advantage  of your medium.
I will discuss the same with our current office bearers . We can then take it on from there.

With regards and best wishes

Lalit Kapoor

Dear Dr Kapoor,

I enjoyed reading your latest article in Grasp.

I feel the best way of improving the image of the medical profession is for AMC to act as a professional body whose members act in the patient’s best interests.

All members of AMC should be “patientologists “ !

The Indian healthcare system has become sick. Information Therapy – the right information at the right time for the right person – can be powerful medicine !

Here are 2 concrete suggestions I’d like to offer.

1.       HELP would be happy to partner with AMC to help promote patient education

2.       We can provide websites to all AMC members at a reduced cost. I am an angel investor in Plus91 ( www.websitefordoctors.in). Not only will this be good for the AMC; and for all its members ( who will get an online presence at a reduced cost, it will be very good for all patients, as a website promotes transparency and forces doctors to become patient-centric !
