Hi all:

The AMC Boston Ski Committee is hosting a free online Backcountry Safety and Avalanche Awareness presentation on December 20, 7-9pm. This looks like a great way to kick off the ski season!

This two hour presentation provides an overview of key safety considerations for backcountry travelers in the White Mountains. We'll review the most common risks, equipment considerations, avalanche and other environmental factors, and present an approach to prepare for and carry out backcountry trips.
