नमो वः,
In the past month, we have done substantial work on creating new texts and building better tools to display them on our website. More background work is necessary, but we will be ready to share our work publicly soon.
In the meantime, we have several items we wish to bring to your attention:
Please fill out the Ambuda survey. We want to better understand how you use Ambuda and how we can adapt it to suit your needs. Please give us the gift of your time and fill out this
5-minute survey.
Want to contribute? Join our weekly meeting! We have weekly virtual meetings to discuss Ambuda and ongoing work. If you want to contribute, this week's meeting is a great one to join, as we'll be going through all of the open work items for our project. You can find details on
our post on the ambuda-discuss mailing list.
Full-stack engineers wanted! Our proofing tool is becoming more popular, and we are searching for engineers to volunteer and help us take it to the next level. Our technical stack is Python with AlpineJS on the frontend. We will help anyone with interest and initiative to onboard on our stack and find places to contribute. You can find our main repository
here, and to join our community and talk to us more casually, you can join our Discord server
here.
Vidyut progress: Vidyut, our Sanskrit software toolkit, has made great progress. In particular, our
Paninian word generator has much stronger support for secondary roots (सनाद्यन्त-धातवः), passive verbs (कर्मणि प्रयोगः), verb suffixes (कृदन्तानि), combinations with verb prefixes (उपसर्गाः), nominals (सुबन्तानि), and sound changes for s (षत्व) and n (णत्व). Please look forward to more updates at the end of this month. If you are interested in contributing to our word generator, please see our request for help
here.
