Proofreaders wanted for /guide ("Sanskrit for Beginners")
Multiple
readers have written to ask if we plan to publish our beginner's
guide as a book or if we have any plans to offer it in Hindi. Yes to
both -- but first, I want to proofread the guide and make sure that it is simple, clear, and complete. I've done what I can on my own, but another pair of eyes will surely help.
If you want to help proofread the guide, please reply to this email and I'll get you started. No experience in Sanskrit or proofreading necessary. If you don't have much time, I'll assign something small.
/vyakarana is complete
Our introduction to traditional Sanskrit grammar (
https://learnsanskrit.org/vyakarana/)
is complete. By "complete" I mean that it covers all of the
main parts of the Ashtadhyayi without major omissions or gaps. When it comes to vyākaraṇa, there is always more that can be said; but I've reached my goal for the project, which is to provide a friendly entrypoint into all of the main systems of the Ashtadhyayi. Like /guide, /vyakarana is now also available as a PDF.
Proofreaders wanted here too! Everything after the tinanta section could use a second read. If you want to help, just reply to this email and I'll get you started. Again, no experience necessary, and I can assign something to fit the time you have available.
What happened to Pandit?
It's still in progress! The core engine is almost ready, but I need a concentrated block of time that I haven't been able to find recently. I'll send out another email when it's online.
