I'm not sure if anyone here is not on the sursound list .... but if
so, here's a copy of an email I just sent to sursound:

All,

Universal Ambisonic Specification v 0.95 is available here: http://bit.ly/ZGR5x

It has taken a slight change in direction from v 0.94. It is no longer
attempting to cater for a chosen set of mixed-order permutations, but
instead commits to 1st order for recordings, and 3rd order for
synthesised soundfields. In other words, it is catering to practical
and specific uses, thereby optimising the ease of production /
portability / consumption.

It also caters for one combined-order, being mixing 1st and 3rd. This
adds a level of complexity to the specification which I wish could be
removed somehow (any ideas?)... but is a practical requirement to
satisfy one of ambisonic's promises (mixing recorded soundfields with
synthesised soundfields).

All comments very welcome.

Etienne
