Paul D was correctly pointing out off-list that, really, the label
'Universal Ambisonic' should be trademarked... to be able to stop its
use with software/content that does not satisfy the requirements
outlined in the standard.
this will also give incentive and confidence to commercial enterprise
wishing to implement Universal Ambisonic. Licensing the trademark
would be free, or at least sufficiently cheap that anyone could use
it.
... I've got no idea how to go about it though, does anyone have any thoughts?
